When to Use AEP

Scope guidance for when AEP helps most.

Use AEP when

  • tasks repeat across sessions
  • workflows are structured and testable
  • preferences materially affect output quality
  • teams need consistent output across multiple contributors
  • compliance or quality bars must be explicit

Avoid AEP when

  • the task is one-off and disposable
  • conversation is exploratory with no stable process yet
  • quick Q&A is faster than formalizing a pack

Rule of thumb

If you expect to repeat similar work at least 2-3 times, AEP usually pays off.
