When to Use AEP
Scope guidance for when AEP helps most.
Use AEP when
- tasks repeat across sessions
- workflows are structured and testable
- preferences materially affect output quality
- teams need consistent output across multiple contributors
- compliance or quality bars must be explicit
Avoid AEP when
- the task is one-off and disposable
- conversation is exploratory with no stable process yet
- quick Q&A is faster than formalizing a pack
Rule of thumb
If you expect to repeat similar work at least 2-3 times, AEP usually pays off.
